Constitution of the Intense National Football League Players Union (INFLPU)

Preamble

We, the players of the Intense National Football League (INFL), recognizing the need to secure and protect our rights, welfare, and interests, hereby establish this constitution to create the Intense National Football League Players Union (INFLPU). We aim to foster a spirit of unity, ensure fair treatment, promote safe working conditions, and negotiate collectively for the betterment of all INFL players.

Article I: Name and Purpose

Section 1: Name The name of this organization shall be the Intense National Football League Players Union (hereinafter referred to as INFLPU).

Section 2: Purpose The purpose of the INFLPU shall be to:

  1. Represent all players in the INFL in matters concerning wages, hours, working conditions, and other terms of employment.
  2. Promote the welfare and safety of all INFL players.
  3. Advocate for the collective interests of the players.
  4. Provide a platform for players to voice their concerns and grievances.
  5. Ensure equitable treatment of all members within the league.

Article II: Membership

Section 1: Eligibility All current players/employees in the INFL are eligible for membership in the INFLPU.

Section 2: Rights and Responsibilities of Members

  1. Members have the right to vote on union matters, including the election of officers and ratification of collective bargaining agreements.
  2. Members are entitled to receive union support in disputes with league management.
  3. Members have the responsibility to uphold the constitution and bylaws of the INFLPU.
  4. Members are required to pay dues as established by the Executive Committee.

Article III: Governance

Section 1: Executive Committee The Executive Committee shall be the governing body of the INFLPU and shall consist of the following officers:

  1. President
  2. Vice President
  3. Secretary
  4. Treasurer
  5. Player Representatives (one from each team in the INFL)

Section 2: Duties of Officers

  1. President: The President shall preside over all meetings, act as the chief spokesperson for the union, and oversee the execution of union policies.
  2. Vice President: The Vice President shall assist the President and assume the President’s duties in their absence.
  3. Secretary: The Secretary shall maintain all union records, including meeting minutes and membership rolls.
  4. Treasurer: The Treasurer shall manage the union’s finances, including the collection of dues and the preparation of financial reports.
  5. Player Representatives: Player Representatives shall act as liaisons between the players on their respective teams and the Executive Committee, conveying concerns and feedback from their teams.

Section 3: Elections

  1. Officers shall be elected every two years by a majority vote of the members.
  2. Elections shall be conducted by secret ballot.
  3. In the event of a vacancy, a special election shall be held to fill the position for the remainder of the term.

Article IV: Meetings

Section 1: Regular Meetings The INFLPU shall hold regular meetings at least twice a year. The schedule of these meetings shall be determined by the Executive Committee.

Section 2: Special Meetings Special meetings may be called by the President or by a petition signed by at least 25% of the membership. Notice of special meetings must be given to all members at least one week in advance.

Section 3: Quorum A quorum for the transaction of business at any regular or special meeting shall consist of a majority of the Executive Committee and representatives from at least 50% of the teams.

Article V: Committees

Section 1: Standing Committees The following standing committees shall be established:

  1. Negotiations Committee: Responsible for negotiating collective bargaining agreements with INFL management.
  2. Grievance Committee: Responsible for handling grievances filed by members.
  3. Safety and Health Committee: Responsible for addressing safety and health issues affecting players.

Section 2: Special Committees Special committees may be established by the Executive Committee as needed to address specific issues or projects.

Article VI: Amendments

Section 1: Proposal Amendments to this constitution may be proposed by the Executive Committee or by a petition signed by at least 25% of the membership.

Section 2: Ratification Proposed amendments must be ratified by a two-thirds majority vote of the members present at a regular or special meeting.

Article VII: Ratification and Implementation

Section 1: Ratification This constitution shall be ratified by a majority vote of the INFLPU members and shall take effect immediately upon ratification.

Section 2: Implementation The Executive Committee shall take all necessary steps to implement this constitution and ensure compliance with its provisions.

Article VIII: Dissolution

Section 1: Procedure The INFLPU may be dissolved by a two-thirds majority vote of the entire membership. In the event of dissolution, any remaining assets shall be distributed among the members or donated to a charity chosen by the Executive Committee.


This constitution is hereby adopted by the members of the Intense National Football League Players Union on this day, [Date].
